In the series, Les Yeux de le Coeur (The Eyes of the Heart ), the figure is used as a transcendental metaphor for the universe, infused with mystical symbols of the exiled sacred feminine. They are timeless totemic, mythological overseers that are, in fact, our deepest selves. The materials used (layers of recycled cardboard laminated with repurposed textiles, organic dyes, paint & embedded symbols) reflects the transformation of dead, discarded, or destructive byproducts of our society, resurrected into a catalyst for healing and unity.
